Marks & Spencer might have the most interesting fall campaign this year. Impressive and inspiring women like Grace Coddington, Helen Mirren, Karen Elson and Ellie Goulding shot by Annie Leibovitz in quintessentially English environment. The clothes are not bad, either. Love it!

A church decorated with candles and roses was the backdrop when Mardou & Dean showed their Fall 2013 collection on Friday. They had mixed up their basic jeans with leather jackets, checks and sexy mini dresses. A grunge inspired and raw collection with elements of soft pastels. My favourite is the light blue leather biker jacket.
The designers behind Mardou & Dean, Ingrid Bredholdt and Patrik Rosenfors, have also expanded into accessories, and a pair of Mardou & Dean boots are hereby on my wish list!
On Tuesday I attended the prestigious Norwegian design award Nåløyet (Norwegian for the “eye of the needle”). This is the 10th time the fashion magazine HENNE hands out the prize to a clothes designer/brand, and the third time for an award in the accessories category.
This year´s clothes design winner was Eva Emanuelsen for her brand Epilogue. She showed a beautiful, clean and classic collection. Helene Torp-Holte won the accessories prize for her graduate collection, where she has used natural material like wood and bone. Congratulations to them both.
What was new this year is that the winners got to design a shoe collection for Euro Sko.
The design prize was introduced in connection with HENNE´s 10 years anniversary in 2004, and the purpose was to help Norwegian designers to develop a successful business. Three years ago an accessories category was established as well, owing to the fact that Norway has bred some high quality accessory designers the past few years.
Tomorrow I am going to see up & coming Norwegian designers at the independent fashion show Up. Up is a non-profit organisation that aims to support and promote designers in their early career. Andrea Johannesen and Julie L. Parisi are the women behind this great initiative.
The designers Ingvild Abrahamsen, Jone Nielsen, Marit Seim, Christian Aks, Janne Aunan and Emma Liljedahl will show their collections, all handpicked for this show by professionals in the industry. I´ll bring my camera.
Karl Lagerfeld stated his opinion about same-sex marriage when he sent two brides hand in hand down the catwalk to close the Chanel Couture show recently. A marriage equality law is a hot topic in France these days and Karl wanted to show his support to the legislation. Thumbs up!
I am not only packing away the Christmas in my home, I am also trying to cleanse out the heavy Christmas ”diet” from inwardly. I guess this Coco juice is a good replacement for the daily glass of wine I have been enjoying this Christmas.
